This summer, Shamrock kicked off our new intern program by offering a position in the purchasing group to Katherine Milholland, a student at Michigan State University. The institution is highly regarded throughout the world for its Supply Chain Management program

One of Katherine’s main projects was analyzing Shamrock’s fastener procurement processes, looking for ways to make improvements and better streamline how materials are ordered, received, stocked and distributed. We also had her look at best practices for data security.

Recently, Katherine presented her findings to the Shamrock leadership team. She had lots of great ideas that we’ll implement in the coming months.

Shamrock wishes Katherine well in her junior year at Michigan State and will definitely be in touch with her down the road. Go Green!
